The NFL released the 2015 regular season schedule yesterday, and like many Patriots fans, I had many knee-jerk reactions. In no particular order, here are ten of my best uncensored ones.

1. Patriots Play in NFL's Annual Thursday Night Opener

As is standard procedure for defending Super Bowl champs, the Patriots will kickoff the NFL season with a Thursday night game against the Steelers. Why? The NFL screwed this one up. They should have scheduled the Colts for a #deflategate reunion. That way Belichick can start the 2015 season with a scorched earth F-U win.

2. Facing Rex Ryan in 2nd Game of the Season

Game no. 2 is at Buffalo. Rex Ryan will be wearing his Belichick/Brady footy pajamas for this game. Too bad he still has no quarterback. Gotta be honest; I'm a little nervous about this game. Rex usually gets his teams ready and amped for any Patriots games.

3. A Week 4 Bye?

After a slaughtering of the Jacksonville Jaguars at Gillette the Patriots go into the bye week at week 4. A week 4 bye week?!? Yuck!

4. 1st Loss of the Season

I could see the 1st loss of the season coming at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys in week 5. However, Romo made a deflated balls joke at the CMA Awards so Belichick has another opportunity for an F-U win.

5. Pats vs. Colts in Belichick's Scorched Earth, F-U Game

I AM SALIVATING OVER THE GAME AGAINST THE COLTS ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18. The Patriots have something like a 24 point average margin of victory over the Colts and I hope they quadruple that. As I said before, this should have been the season opener. Plan for a Colts funeral the Monday following this game.

6. Revis Reunion!

Revis Reunion - Sunday, October 25 at Gillette. Should be interesting to see what kind of reception he gets.

7. Too Many Prime Time Games

The Patriots have 5 prime time games with the potential for a million flexed. Worst part about it is back to back weeks with a Monday night game against Buffalo, and a Sunday night game against the Broncos. I hate prime time games. Win or lose, I can never sleep afterwards. I'm up all night with cold sweats and Xs and Os dancing in my head.

8. Annual Brady-Manning Bowl

I love that the game against Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos is a little later in the season (week 12). Manning should complete his transition from NFL darling and MVP favorite to noodle-arms McGee by then.

9. Wilfork Reunion!

Unfortunately, the Wilfork Reunion is in Houston and not at home. Otherwise the big dude would receive a standing O.

10. Last 3 out of 4 on the Road

Three of the last four games for the Patriots are on the road. I don't like that. The last two in a row are at New York, and at Miami. The Patriots are likely to have their playoff seeding locked up by then, but if not, watch out!

Prediction:

Pats go 11 - 5, with losses to the Bills, Dolphins, Broncos, Houston, and New York. (Obviously they're going to go 16-0 but I can't come out and say that with a prediction because I'll be at fault if they lose a bunch)
