6 Fantastic Drinking Games For the Summer Enthusiast

Drinking games are a timeless tradition, and even though you may be long past your college days, that's no reason to stop playing. 

It's summer and that means sharing cold beers with your buddies. It also means having some fun, and nothing's more fun than a late night of drinking games with the gang.

There's a ton of games out there, but here's a few classics that are fun for everyone and never go out of style.

1. Kings Cup

Kings Cup is an old game, and a favorite for large groups of people. You place an empty cup, and spread a deck of cards, with the jokers removed, faced down in a circle around the cup. Players take turns pulling cards from the circle, each card having its own rules.

• Ace: Everyone drinks until the first player stops
• 2: the player can tell anyone in the circle to drink
• 3: the player must drink
• 4: women drink
• 5: men drink
• 6: everyone must touch the floor, the last player to do so drinks
• 7: everyone must point upwards, last player to do so drinks
• 8: the player chooses someone to drink every time they do
• 9: the player says a word, everyone must take turns making a rhyme, the first so fail must drink
• 10: "Never have I ever", the player says something they've never done, anyone who has done it must drink
• Jack: the player can make a new rule that must be followed for the rest of the game
• Queen: wildcard.
• King: Every time a king is pulled the player pours some of their drink into the middle cup (the King cup), whoever pulls the last king must drink the king cup.

2. Flip Cup

Flip cup is a hilarious game to play, especially with less coordinated players. You line 6 cups on each side of a table, with a cup of beer in the center. the first person to successfully flip their line of cups over by smacking it, is the winner and does not have to drink.

3. Thunderstruck

Thunderstruck is a simple, but highly effective, game. The players sit in a circle and play "Thunderstruck" by AC/DC. When they first start singing "thunder" the first player drinks. When they finish saying "thunder" the first person stops drinking and the second person begins.

4. Bulls**t

The goal of this game is to get rid of all your cards first. Sitting in a circle, deal out an entire deck of cards as evenly as possible. You start with an ace and count up. If you don’t have a card that works, you lie and put a card face down that isn’t in order. If someone says “Bullshit” and they are right, you drink. If they are wrong, they drink.

5. Drunk Jenga

Drunk Jenga requires a little planning, but is a fun game for groups. Everyone must take a Jenga cube, writing rules on each cube (such as: girls drink, guys drink, etc.).Whenever a cube is successfully pulled, all players must follow whatever rule is written on the block. If the tower tumbles, the player that caused it must finish their drink.

6. Beer Roulette

Beer Roulette is a simply, yet messy, game. The rules are simple. Someone takes all the beer cans, shaking only one, and returns them to the remaining players. Whoever opens the shaken can and gets sprayed, must chug his drink.
