Look For New Episodes of ‘Coach’ and ‘The X-Files’

It would appear that coach Hayden Fox will be roaming the sidelines again, 18 years after his last stint in coaching, and at the same time, agents Mulder and Scully are on the prowl again.

NBC has announced it has ordered 13 episodes of the series that stars Craig T. Nelson. He will be an assistant football coach at an Ivy League school in Pennsylvania that has just started a football program. He will be assisting his son who is head coach.

It hasn't been announced if anyone else from the original show, which ran from 1989-1997, will be joining Nelson. Barry Kemp who created the original Coach is back on board.

Earlier this week, Fox announced the return of the X-Files. It will be a six-episode continuation of that series, with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles.

I was a fan of Coach. Jerry Van Dyke as Luther was good for at least one laugh out loud each program.

I don't recall ever watching the X-Files. I'm not a science fiction guy.

Big week for the return of 90's television. Which begs the question. Whatever happened to that show Seinfeld?
