(Dover, NH) - The Strafford County Sheriff's office has announced the passing of K-9 Daisy Mae.

The 7-month old bloodhound started her service with the Sheriff's Office in May of 2011, beginning her lifetime assignment to Deputy Keith Mackenzie of the Rochester Police Department.

Daisy Mae garnered numerous awards citations during her 7 years of service, assisting in the capture of a number of wanted subjects. She took part in just under 200 calls for service during her lifetime.

Daisy Mae passed away from medical complications last week.

A ceremony to honor her service will be held in the coming weeks.
