A GoFundMe Page Has Been Set Up For A Ronnie James Dio Memorial In Portsmouth

This is getting serious! First there was a petition and now there is a GoFundMe page set up to raise funds for a Ronnie James Dio memorial in Portsmouth.

If you didn't know, Ronnie James Dio is a Portsmouth, NH native and rock legend.

This GoFundMe page is associated with the petition I mentioned earlier, 'Build a statue of Ronnie James Dio on the South End of Portsmouth.' 4,638 people have signed it as I write this.

According to the GoFundMe page, the statue will be bronze and the design will be decided and agreed on by the artist, city of Portsmouth and organizers.

They are looking to raise $50,000. That figure is based on estimates from artists that have done similar work.

Any extra money would be donated to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund or possibly go towards a music or art scholarship.
