I debated whether to even embed this Nationwide commercial because it made me so upset at the time I saw it. After a couple days to reflect, I figured I could try to put it in the proper perspective. I have since calmed down and the negative reaction to the commercial was so intense that Nationwide issued the following statement.

Maybe if enough parents and kids(out of the 114 million people that watched the ad) have a discussion about the different household dangers presented, it will save some lives.

I still have to give the ad a big thumbs down because I think anyone that has gone through such a tragedy did not need to be sucker punched in this way.

If the intention was to get everyone talking about it, it obviously worked, but at what cost? Ruining the Big Game for hundreds and hundreds of people? Go back to Peyton Manning eating sandwiches.

I was waiting for this new Kate Upton 'Game of War' ad all day. I have no idea how her bathing in an opulent setting has anything to do with gigantic monsters hitting each other with clubs and swords. That being said, I loved every second of it!

Her statement seems metaphoric for what the Patriots had gone through over the past two weeks of nonsense. (If you must know, I began actually paying attention to what she was saying the 7th time I watched it)

I also noticed that her push up, corset, warrior mini-dress appears to be crafted of stainless steel. From an architectural standpoint, I feel that was a sound structural decision.

Overall, I'd say that the commercials weren't all that great this year, but I have seen worse. It's awfully nice when the game itself is way better than the commercials and this one was one for the ages!
