AAA Predicts Close To 43 Million Americans Will Travel This Weekend
Oh boy! It will be extra fun at the Hampton and York tolls and for the miles around them.
This is a half million more travelers than last year, and could be the highest number of Fourth of July travelers on record.
The weekend is defined from Thursday to Monday, with the highest travel times predicted to be Friday and Monday afternoons. AAA says the best times to leave on your drive will be in the mornings.
Low gas prices will inspire more than 36 million people to drive to their 4th of July destinations. AAA predicts that 3.3 million will fly.
We're seeing some of the lowest gas prices this Independence Day weekend since 2005. Lots of us have saved a couple of hundred dollars already this because of the low prices.
Which means, of course, more to spend on fireworks!!
