Starting Monday, May 11th, abandoned bicycles in Portsmouth will be removed. Time to do a little spring cleaning and that includes disposing of bikes that have been locked to bike racks, light posts, and parking meters for an extended period of time.

Bicycles that have been left behind will be marked with chalk. If they have not been removed after 24 hours, a 'warning tag' will be placed on the bike.

Once the 'warning' tag has been placed, owners have one week from the tagged date to retrieve their bike.

If the bike is still there after a week, it will be taken to the High Hanover Parking Garage.

In order to reclaim an impounded bike you must contact Mike Casad, Parking Garage Supervisor. 603-431-5904.

You must provide a detailed description, serial number, or proof of purchase to get your bicycle back.
