Actual Photos From Controversial ‘Pig Scramble’ in Newport NH

When I visited my old radio pal Steve Smith last week during my vacation, I had no idea he was at the epicenter of a major controversial national news story concerning a Winter Carnival 'Pig Scramble'. Here is further proof that no pigs were harmed at this event. 

This is Newport resident Glen Halleck. Despite the clever disguise, he is not, in fact, nor ever claimed to be, an actual pig.

Here is an action photo of the 'Pig Scramble' as local kids try to grab some cash off the 'pig's' tail.

I think it's safe to say that these photos have proven that any and all animals of the porcine variety remained unharmed during this fun winter event.
