An end of the year study has revealed the most popular Google searches for each state and it's clear Granite Staters only care about politics and football.

The study, done by Estately.com, ran hundreds of search queries through Google Trends to determine which words, terms, and questions each state was searching for more than any other in 2015. Here are the results:

  1. Deflategate
  2. Heroin
  3. Paris terrorist attack
  4. Hillary Clinton (presidential candidate)
  5. Donald Trump (presidential candidate)
  6. Carly Fiorina (presidential candidate)
  7. Jeb Bush (presidential candidate)
  8. Ted Cruz (presidential candidate)
  9. Terrorism

Obviously it's an election year and we've had plenty of presidential candidates in and out of local restaurants shaking hands and kissing babies which would explain the dominance in the searches.

More importantly however, is the systematic witch hunt the NFL aimed at the Patriots this year. Nobody screws with our sports teams! Nobody! I'm surprised deflategate didn't appear on every state's searches. It literally dominated news cycles nationwide.
