Arraignment Set For Rochester Stabbing Suspect

(Rochester, NH) - 18 year old Noah Dumont faces a charge of First Degree Assault for the incident last Wednesday morning.

Dumont was arrested Friday in connection with the stabbing that was reported just before 3 Wednesday morning. A 24 year old Rochester man, whose named was not released, was stabbed 7 times in the confrontation in a common hallway of an apartment building on Bridge Street. The suspect fled on foot and eluded capture.

The victim was treated for the non-life-threatening injuries as Police investigated the case. Dumont was arrested Friday on the Assault charge, and an unrelated outstanding warrant for Receiving Stolen property.

Dumont will appear today in Strafford County Superior Court.
