At Long Last, Deep Fried Twinkies Are Here

I can feel my arteries closing up already.

Who didn't love Twinkies when they were a kid. Eating Twinkies was probably the most shared experience of childhood. I didn't know anyone when I was a child that didn't have a package of Twinkies in their house.

And the original flavor is still the best. I love chocolate, but chocolate Twinkies never did it for me.

As much of a childhood memory Twinkies are for me, I can't at all recall the last time I had one.

Now, Hostess has introduced the 'Deep Fried Twinkie'. This must be for those who just don't care anymore about their health. They are available exclusively at Wal-Mart in the frozen foods section.

There is nothing about this announcement that makes me crave this new Twinkie. Not at all pulling on my nostalgia strings.

I bet the target audience will be college kids, who will forego the warming up part of the prep and just eat them frozen.
