Have you ever offended someone or made them feel bad because of an email? You didn't do it on purpose, but somehow the receiver over analyzes your words and punctuation and is hurt by what you thought was just a normal message. IBM's supercomputer, Watson, has the solution.

So, this computer program, a 'Tone Analyzer,' checks your email and based on emotion, social propensities, and writing style, makes suggestions on how you can make your message happier or angrier.

This is ridiculous. This is what it has come to. We're so worried about offending someone without intending to offend them, that we have a computer tell us how to construct a message.

If you're that worried about unintentionally hurting someone with your written words, don't send an email, pick up the phone!
