Thrillist.com just released a new list of the best movies that are set in every U.S. state. New Hampshire's movie is on point, but you won't believe the silly movie they chose for Maine.

Here's the criteria the travel and entertainment website used in its own words:

...We tried to select movies that took place mainly in a given state, which meant road trip classics (Easy Rider or Thelma and Louise come to mind.) won't show up anywhere. We also picked films that represent a state's place in the nation's collective consciousness...

Maine: "The Iron Giant," is an animated movie from 1999 that is voiced by Brad Bird and Vin Diesel.

New Hampshire: "What About Bob?" from 1991. This comedy stars Richard Dreyfuss and Bill Murray.

Vermont: "Beetlejuice" from 1988, features an all-star cast. Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder, Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis made this funny (and a little scary) movie a box office hit.

Massachusetts: "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" from 1973 is a crime classic that stars Robert Mitchum.

Connecticut: "Super Troopers" from 2001. You'll recognize old-school "Wonder Woman," Lynda Carter making a cameo as Vermont Governor Jessman. The movie features Jay Chandrasekhar, Kevin Heffernan and André Vippolis.

Rhode Island: "The Conjuring" from 2013. You'll notice that the horror flick is the only movie from this decade on the list. It stars Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga.

What do you think? Are there better movies to represent each state? Tell us what movies you would choose in the comment section below or on our Facebook page.
