A blind man from Nashua has become the hero of the internet after his inspirational start to a Tough Mudder challenge was filmed.

Randy Pierce is his name and he's no stranger to athletic competitions.

This is my friend and fraternity brother, Randy Pierce. He's blind. But that didn't stop me from talking him into running a Tough Mudder for Oberto Beef Jerky today. One of the most inspirational things I've ever been part of.

The dude has run marathons, hiked 4,000 footers and now competed in a Tough Mudder challenge.

Watch as hundreds of people cheer on Randy Pierce as the super athlete jumps on a rope swing and rides it out to a bell he has to ring, all over muddy water 25 feet below.

Incredible!

The video, originally posted on Facebook by Randy's friend, now has over 300,000 views.
