Body of Manchester Boy Swept Out to Sea in North Carolina Has Been Found

According to WMUR news, the body of Wesley Belisle was found this morning at about 7:40 a.m. Wesley and his mother, both from Manchester, were on the beach vacationing in Kitty Hawk, South Carolina, when a wave came in fast and swept him out to sea.

What a heartbreaking story. Wesley was only 4 years old.

When my son was 4 years old, his father and I divorced.  I remember when he was that age, just a baby really, and how I wanted to spoil him every minute of every day just to make him feel better about the divorce.  It could have been me with my son on that beach, trying to give my son some happy memories.  Instead, for the Belisle family, it ended in tragedy.

You never know what will happen.  This was a tragic accident.  One minute, you're having a wonderful time with your son, the next, he is gone.  I have had my share of awful things happen and it's made me cherish every minute of every day.  I am so grateful for being with family and friends because I've had them taken from me in an instant.  When I hear stories like this, it makes me even more grateful that my sons are alive, healthy and happy.
