At Ogunquit beach, Hampton's lifeguards defeated teams from Ogunquit (they should have had home beach advantage), Wells, Biddeford, York, and Salisbury.

The lifeguard's swimming skills are put to test in this competition, as well as their capability with surfboards and flotation devices.

There are both men's and women's categories, with the scores for the groups from each team being combined for the team's overall score.

Ogunquit finished second with Salisbury coming in third place.

I realize that all lifeguards have to be on top of their game or else they wouldn't have gotten the job. But isn't it reassuring to know that when you visit Hampton Beach, you're being protected by the best?

I smell dynasty!
