Brian Wilson is one of the most interesting artists in rock and roll history and I'm glad his story is now a movie.

I've always loved ear candy, and making ear candy is what Brian Wilson has done for over 50 years.

By all accounts (mostly his), he is a tortured soul that has been to some very dark places. Yet out of those dark places has come many of the greatest songs ever written and produced.

It's one thing to be able to write a good tune. Another to sing and perform that tune well. And another thing entirely to produce a song into a gem, something Brian Wilson did time and time again.

This film even has two of my favorite actors, John Cusack and Paul Giamatti in starring roles. They are as good at their craft, as Brian Wilson is at his.

I'll be front row center this weekend. Actually not. Front row stinks in the theater.
