I'm going to show you what I consider to be the 2 most difficult functional movement tests of the FMS. Both of these challenges JUST BARELY eluded me yesterday at FBT in Brentwood.

I passed this screening back in the spring but I had a tight right hamstring yesterday that prevented me from reaching the desired range of motion. Oh Active Straight Leg Raise, how dare you continue to mock me? I shall defeat you in 60 days. I shall.

The ease of which this gentleman completes the 'Rotary Stabilty' test amazes me. My alternate elbows and knees seem miles apart from each other (even though they're close) when I try to put them together.

However, I have improved by leaps and bounds from my first attempt at this challenge. When I first started this I couldn't extend my arm and leg simultaneously without fear of toppling over. Now, I'm just an inch or so from achieving this task AND I WILL DO SO IN JUST SIXTY DAYS TIME. With help from the best coaches in the world Sarah, Jimmy, Emma and Pearla I WILL DO SO!
