In what could be a record, more than 28,000 teddy bears were tossed and collected.

The minor league hockey team in Calgary, the Calgary Hitmen, recently hosted their annual 'teddy bear toss game".

Patrons to the game are asked to bring a teddy bear to the game. Whenever the first Calgary goal is scored, that is the signal for the teddy bears to be tossed onto the ice.

At last count, the number of bears were over 28,000! They will be dispersed to over 50 different charities in the Calgary area.

Now this is showing some Christmas spirit!
