Casino Could Be Coming To Rochester

Eureka Casino Hotel from Nevada and The Rochester Fair Association are reportedly looking to bring a casino to Rochester.

According to a story Fosters.com, "The Fair Association has reached out to the Economic Development Department for a potential site, and the Rt.11 corridor is being eyed as a location. Establishing a casino in Rochester would require approval through a city vote, according to the Rochester Fair Association. Site plans would go before the Planning Board after officials find a suitable site."

A casino in the Lilac City. That's a game changer. It could bring a bunch of money into the area. But one of the knocks against bringing a casino into an area is the crime element than on occasion, follows a casino.

This I know. If Rochester gets a casino, A-train might make less trips to Vegas. But he also might lose any money he might save by visiting the craps tables.
