Chief Maloney was set to retire when he was killed in a shoot out while in the line of duty.

This Sunday, April 24th, is the 5th annual Chief Michael Maloney Unity Run 10k. The run benefits the Chief Michael Maloney Memorial Fund who's purpose is, according to their website:

The Chief Michael Maloney Memorial Fund provides charitable services to the Seacoast of New Hampshire's First Responders and is dedicated to fostering public safety through community enrichment projects, education and outreach.

Here's another way you can contribute. According to the fund's Facebook page, they need water.

We need help! Due to unforseen circumstances we learned last night that our water sponsor for this Sunday's Chief Maloney Unity Run is unable to provide any water. We are looking for 100 cases of 16.9oz bottles. If anyone has any water connections or if can donated any cases, please drop them off at the Greenland Police Department. I can be reached at 603-502-4611.

Thank you,

Dawn Sawyer

Please help out in any way you can.

Thanks!
