In order to break the record, over 958 people will be needed to toss frisbees at the same time. There will be an official signal to start the event, and the throw must be at least 3 meters.

The event will be held at the Lilac Mall, and parking will be on the Kmart side of the mall. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m., and the disc throw will take place between 9:15 a.m. and 9:30 a.m.

Participants must be in the first grade or older, and anyone who wants to be involved is asked to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit local food pantries.

A-Train and I spoke with Dean Graziano, who works with the Rochester School District earlier this week, and he's quite proud of the amount of excitement about the event. The buzz is not only in the Lilac City, but has spread to surrounding communities as well.

Many thanks to Fedreal Savings Bank for donating over 3,000 frisbees for the event.
