My question for Cooper isn't how, but why? Leaving Florida for New Hampshire? Especially this time of year?

Cooper is a 4 year old Bulldog, and made the 1500 mile journey from Florida to Salem NH, apparently without telling a soul the where's and why.

As reported on WMUR, Cooper had been microchipped because he had pulled this kind of caper before. His most recent owner, Julie Sheilds of Naples Florida, found him over a year ago after he showed up on her doorstep. She tried to find Coopers's owner to no avail. She decided to keep him, and had him microchipped  so we know a little bit about Cooper's past.

Cooper disappeared in May, apparently has the wanderlust gene, and won't be tied down to one place. Shields is sending a care package to Cooper with new harnesses and collars. He'll head home by the end of the week, thanks to a national charity called Kindred Heart Transport.

Now he just needs a new travel agent and a better sense of weather patterns.
