An inch of snow paralyzed our Nations Capital and guess what's coming this weekend?

Winter Storm Affects North Carolina

The snowfall which hit the Washington area on Wednesday was under an inch officially, but it was enough to strand commuters for hours on area roadways.

Now, times that by 20, and you have an idea of what is in store for these folks this weekend with winter storm Jonas. It's not going to be pretty.

I lived in northern Virginia for six years in the 70's, and I love that area. And I especially loved it as a kid because an inch of snow would close school for at least 2 days.

Most of the people down there simply don't know how to drive in snow and ice, and the road crews aren't much of a help, with most districts only having 2 plows, 3 snowblowers and 2 bags of ice melt.

Someone better do a wellness check on DC this weekend.
