I'm an admitted United States Drought Monitor junkie. Every Thursday morning at 8am, I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the latest updates. Yet, I cannot believe that much of NH's Seacoast Region is STILL 'Abnormally Dry' even though I look at the map at least once a week.

The problem (there really isn't much of a problem) is the lack of snowfall throughout this Winter compounded with an extremely dry Fall season of 2015.

Even though our Spring has seen a decent amount of rainfall, and we've had almost ten inches of rain this year, we are still trying to catch up to the 'Moderate Drought' we were experiencing back in January.

I'm sure another 24 hours of rain will do wonders for the acres and acres of 'Abnormally Dry' land here in the Granite State. Any fears of a dust bowl or the sprouting of cactus patches in and around Strafford County are not based in reality.
