Do you believe these leeks were in the ground over 6 months ago and lived through the record breaking snow pack of February? The stems have obviously seen better days but the bulbs smell like savory heaven and are ready for the soup pot!

These green shoots may not look like much now, but before you know it they'll be huge garlic plants. With all their healing powers, no wonder they can endure the worst that Mother Nature can dish out.

Here are some chives to finish off this inspiring trio. These would be ready to clip and eat as is, but it's better to wait until there are more than just a small handful. Thankfully, it will not take very long for that to happen.
