Red Rock Canyon is just a few miles West of Las Vegas and I can't imagine anyone disliking the majestic views of one of my favorite places on planet earth.

I managed to get a pretty decent shot of the pictograph hand prints made by primitive people that inhabited this area over 6 thousand years ago. This boulder is protected from equally primitive tourists like myself but through a series of both physical and digital acrobatics, I think you can actually see what my camera was aimed at.

It was 102 degrees in the city at the time these pictures were taken but in this wonderful canyon, it was only 79 and breezy. Add the desert air and the climate felt better than any freon air conditioner could ever artificially produce. 7 dollars per car is a bargain to see one of the world's best places in my humble opinion.

And, yes, it looks just like peppermint, I don't care what anybody says!
