Dover Man Faces Assault, Theft and Other Charges In NH & Maine

(Dover, NH) - A Dover man faces extradition back to New Hampshire after incidents in two states early Monday.

Dover police say 38 year old Antonio J. Hector is charged with Second Degree Assault for punching a woman in the face  just after 2 am in the Women and Children's Unit at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital. Police say Hector fled the scene and made his way to Planet Fitness a short distance away. There,  he allegedly took keys from a locker and stole a vehicle from the parking lot.

That vehicle was later involved in a pursuit with police in Kittery, Maine that was discontinued. The vehicle was found crashed and abandoned a short time later.

Hector was arrested in Kittery several hours later and faces charges there. He is being held as a Fugitive from Justice and is awaiting extradition back to NH to face the Assault and Theft charges.
