The Green Wave beat Spaulding Saturday afternoon in a D2 Hockey Championship for the ages by a score of 2-1. Dover's Eric DeGregorio scored with 10 minutes left breaking both the 1-1 tie and the hearts of Red Raider nation as Spaulding was one win away from a perfect season.

If the previous paragraph seems a little biased, well, that is because I'm a Spaulding alum.(Class of '91 baby!) I don't attend these games because I went to The Whitt in '04 when Dover crushed us 6-0 in the D2 final and I haven't gotten over it yet.

If you haven't been watching The Celts or Bruins lately, you're really missing out on some terrific professional winter sports action. Yes, you read that correctly. If you gave up on them before Christmas, shame on you, because both teams have been really fun to watch and in position to scare some teams in the postseason.

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to mention The UNH Men's Hockey team as our very own Fish has been doing a great job posting their successes through The Shark's social media outlets. I fear that if I even bring up tonight's winner take all Game 3 vs. The Providence Friars in the Hockey East Quarters at 7:30pm ...Fish will go all Hanson brothers on me tomorrow. WARNING! Not Safe For Work Eh?
