The SEVERE drought in Southeastern NH has packed quite a wallop to the local gardens, but I have found a way to fool with Mother Nature and hydrate the wilted crops of Ivan's Hoe Farm in Gonic.

I bring a few 5 gallon buckets to the bridge and fill them with the cool and slightly muddy waters of Punch Brook.

Notice the water level BEFORE the 1/2 mile trek over hill and dale, back to the garden.

Not too much water loss with all things considered. Now its time to fill up that water can to the left of the picture AND

Touchdown! Take that historic drought! Just a little elbow grease and the green beans of Gonic are happily hydrated. Sure I burnt through some gas driving the golf cart but I don't pay for that anyways.

If you need A-Train's Irrigation Service you're out of luck. I'm not licensed and after a half hour or so I quit because I hate the way my feet get soaked. I just do this for the love of green beans.
