Think you can devour 69 Nathan's Famous Hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes(Joey Chestnut's World Record)? Well, you can find out on June 27th at the Rochester Fairgrounds!

That's right, Rochester has been selected by Nathan's Famous, Inc. to hold a qualifying competition so that you can make it to Cony Island and compete in the 2015 Fourth Of July International Hot Dog Eating Contest. According to Fosters.com:

The top male and top female finishers from each qualifier contest will earn a spot to compete in the ESPN-televised finals at the original Nathan’s Famous site, a holiday tradition since 1916. In recent years, an estimated 40,000 fans have traveled to the corner of Surf and Stillwell avenues on Coney Island to watch the contest. The live telecast has consistently attracted millions of viewers since ESPN first aired the contest in 2004.

The qualifying contest will be held at the Phantom Gourmet BBQ and Music Festival on June 27th at the Rochester Fairgrounds.

I would love to do this, but I've seen the contest and it is absolutely disgusting. So gross you have to watch it. My fear is that I would never eat a hot dog again after competing in this event. Plus, just the thought of water, hot dog, and bread in my mouth at the same time, mixing around, makes me a bit queasy. I don't have the stomach for this type of activity.

Think you have what it takes?
