Today, 12 year old Advay Nomula, the Dover Middle School Spelling Bee Champ went head to head with Aaron "A-Train" Lapierre and lemme tell ya... it was a battle right to the end!

Before the competition started, both Train and Advay were shown a list of words.  They got approximately 5 minutes to look the words over, then we went on the air.  The anticipation of who would be the winner was palpable:

Here's part 1:

The competition got even more intense as Aaron went in for another try to knock the Middle School champ off of his throne...

ADVAY FOR THE WIN!  Sorry, Train, but this kid's good.

As I wrote last week in a blog here on the Shark Website, Advay Nomula is the Spelling Bee champ for the fourth year in a row at Dover Middle School.  He advances to the State Bee to be held in Concord next month.  If he wins that, he'll head to Washington, D.C. to compete in the National Bee televised nationally on ESPN!

We hope to keep in touch with Advay and have him and his Mom and Dad in studio again when he gets back from Concord.

Good luck, Advay!
