Want to know what 1877 Portsmouth, New Hampshire looked like? Thanks to the Bravura Media Company, we get a bird's-eye view of the city, including building architecture, ships in the harbor, roads, trains, elevation and more in this vintage map.

Amazing detail in the map although I was surprised that there weren't a lot of landmarks in the key. I think there were only around 24 listed. There is also a separate listing for churches and something else that I wasn't able to make out.

I figured with such a detailed map, more things would be labeled, but you still get a good idea of what Portsmouth, New Hampshire was like in 1877.
