Since I am 'A-Train' I feel it's my duty to 'keep my ears to the track' and tell you that Amtrak wants to hike up their rates on the very popular Downeaster line.

According to WMUR-TV, this will only affect the one way ticketing ($1 hike) and the monthly pass ($20 hike).

For those of you that have never ridden on the Downeaster, it's a very convenient alternative to the headaches of Boston traffic and road rage. It takes a little less than two hours to get to North Station and only costs about $40 to get there and back.
