Flashback Friday-Sonny And Cher Reunite in 1987 [VIDEO]

Even the host got a little misty when Sonny and Cher reunited on Late Night With David Letterman on this date in 1987.

Sonny and Cher topped the pop music charts in the 1960's and '70's, mostly remembered for their song "I Got You Babe". You'll have to believe me when I tell you they were 2 of the most popular people in the country at that time.

They had 2 hugely popular variety shows in the 70's and then they split. Cher went on to have more fame making movies, even winning an Academy Award, while Sonny eventually ended up becoming a member of The House of Representatives.

Before Sonny died in a 1998 skiing accident, they reunited only a couple of times, with this one I recall being the most impromptu performance. It was all anyone was talking about for days.
