Not so fast, history isn't on the side of football fans craving free food.

A week and a half ahead of the Big Game,  Buffalo Wild Wings announced they will give away free wings if the contest goes into overtime. Frankly, it's genius. I mean, if the game goes into overtime, you KNOW you'll be stress eating, might as well stack some good protein into it, right? Technically, it isn't that simple. If OT happens, fans will get a  free snack-sized wings from the hours of 4-7 p.m. a few weeks after on Feb. 18.

"We know fans get a thrill out of having something riding on the outcome of the game, and given the number of overtime games we’ve seen all season, we wanted to up the ante for everyone," BWW's chief marketing officer Seth Freeman said. "Even if you don’t have a dog in the fight, we all have a common rooting interest in extending the game because that means more football, and now, free wings!"

Now, about the likelihood of it all. You don't have to be reminded both Conference games went to overtime. But, the Super Bowl too?
