Recent explosions of gas pipelines across the nation have New Hampshire residents concerned about the proposed Kinder Morgan pipeline.

A proposed gas pipeline through Southern New Hampshire has New Hampshire families concerned about potential accidents that could put them in danger, mainly around "The Incineration Zone."

NH1 is currently investigating the project and the potential danger it could pose to the 17 towns along the pipeline's route. The affected towns are Amherst, Brookline, Fitzwilliam, Greenville, Hollis, Hudson, Litchfield, Londonderry, Mason, Merrimack, Milford, New Ipswich, Pelham, Rindge, Richmond, Sharon, Temple, Troy, Winchester, Windham.

A major concern comes from recent explosions in states like California and Texas that have caused major damage and injured residents. New Hampshire citizens in the so-called "incineration zone" are worried that the pipeline will not be buried deep enough to prevent a catastrophe happening in their backyard.

This zone is designated in a 1,000-foot radius on either side of the pipeline.

Kinder Morgan is saying that safety is its number one priority for the 80-mile pipeline, but The Union Leader has found many incidents from the company in the past.
