Good News For Lobster Fans

Lower prices could be on the way.

Right now the price of live lobsters is high, but an early arrival of them could lower the price.

Lobster fans will note that the price has been pretty high for the last couple of years, as high as $12 per pound in some locations. Ouch!

Early July is usually when Maine's summer lobster fishing season begins, and scientists have predicted that because of warm ocean temperatures, the season could start a couple of weeks early, meaning locally, the prices should drop.

But that hasn't happened quite yet.
