The good Samaritan is Rebekah Barrasso from Malden. She said she got the idea from hearing about someone doing a similar nice deed in New York City.

The items Rebekah has been leaving include gloves, mittens, socks, earmuffs and scarves. She's been hanging the coats and scarves on some of the trees in Boston Common.
