The NHDOT is currently thinking about raising the tolls throughout the state.

There hasn't been a statewide toll increase in 10 years, but officials say the increase is needed to improve road safety.

According to a report on WMUR.com:

According to NHDOT’s report, cash rates for main line tolls in Hooksett and Bedford would jump from $1 to $1.50.

Dover and Rochester tolls would increase from 75 cents to $1 and Hampton tolls would be bumped from $2 to $2.50.

The exit ramp tolls in Hooksett and Hampton would see a hike of 25 cents, while Merrimack's ramp tolls would be eliminated.

To help ease the burden for those who drive through multiple plazas on a daily basis, NHDOT is also proposing a plan that would grant EZ Pass users who make 40 trips monthly 10 free transactions.

The state's executive council and governor set toll rates, and the council will discuss the proposal next month toll rate is currently the sixth-lowest in the country"

Remember when the Dover tolls were 15 cents?

My friends and I would take turns doing hook shots from the passenger seat trying to get the coins in the basket.

Going through the tolls used to be more fun, and much less expensive.
