Ah yes, there is nothing like my semi-annual 'Wooooohooooo I'm off to Vegas!' vacation post. However, I'm troubled that I can't stop thinking about the gambling sacrilege that I'm excited about playing there next week.

Automated Craps! The sight of these machines made me ill when they first appeared in Sin City a few years ago. But, after refusing to try them for the longest time, I finally sat down and tried it on my last trip.

While I'll never prefer 'Bubble Craps' to the real thing, there are some positive aspects to it.

1. You're Sitting.

That's nice!

2. No Social Interaction

For a grumpy scowling gambler like myself, I love the fact that the only person I have to speak to throughout the entire session a scantily clad cocktail waitress.

3. Lower Minimums

You can watch the dice pop and pop and pop at a rate of play that is very slow. You can sit out a few rounds too without any pressure to play from human dealers or pit bosses. Loiter until your heart's content!
