Hampton Beach Lobster Roll Contest Winner Downs a Dozen

Congratulations to James Burgess of Connecticut who shoveled down 12 lobster rolls in 10 minutes to win this year's Hampton Beach Lobster Roll Eating Contest.

The record for this event still stands at 15 and, believe it or not, this year's champ (pictured above left) was a little disappointed that he didn't throw down a few more rolls.

There were a total of 144 lobster rolls donated from McGuirk's Ocean View and there were 10 competitors in this year's contest.

The question still remains "Where was Matt Stonie?" You know, the former Hampton Beach native that is currently a world class level eating champion. At the publishing time of this post, I still have received no answers to this extremely important question.
