Watch this video of the home run derby the Red Sox put on against the Phillies in yesterday's opening day victory and savor the greatness that is the Sox lineup.

A total of five home runs were hit by the Fenway faithful leading to a 8-0 thrashing of the Phillies. Dustin Pedroia had two, Hanley Ramirez had two (one of them a grand slam), and the new guy, Mookie Betts, with one.

What's up with guys named Ramirez in Red Sox uniforms smashing the ball all over the place? If yesterday is any sign of things to come, Hanley Ramirez is going to have a monster season.

Tip of the cap to Buchholz who had a tremendous outing, and a surprising one at that. All anyone could say this off season was how much of a head case he is and that he's not a  number one starter. I'd say going seven innings, with nine strikeouts in a win is a pitching line akin to an ace.

Speaking of "aces", how about the turd sandwich Cole Hamels served up? A guy who the Red Sox have been rumored to want to trade for. No thanks.

Good start to the season boys, let's keep it rolling!
