The UNH Wildcats will face the Providence Friars in the Hockey East Quarterfinals this weekend at Shneider Arena. The best-of-three series begins tonight at 7. They play again Saturday at 7 and Sunday (time TBA) if necessary.

They played twice during the regular season with Providence winning the first meeting 1-0, then UNH grabbed a 2-1 victory in game 2. This will be a tough series for the Wildcats. The Friars are ranked 10th in the nation and hold the second seed in the Hockey East Tournament. The goalie for Providence, Jon Gillies, has a 2.22 GAA and a .929 save percentage, which means this dude is solid in net. Nothing the Wildcats can't handle though.

I think this series goes 3 games, with UNH advancing to the next round. No way I'm picking against the Wildcats. Their last loss was a month ago and these guys are hungry!

GO 'CATS!
