By practicing this breathing exercise, you should be able to fall asleep in sixty seconds.

When you have to get up at 2:30 in the morning, a good nights sleep is often hard to come by, especially this time of the year when the sun doesn't set until after 7:30 pm.

A Harvard trained doctor, Dr. Andrew Weil thinks a good sleep is as easy as breathing in and out.

According to an article published at medicaldaily.com, Dr. Weil says:

“Breathing strongly influences physiology and thought processes, including moods. By simply focusing your attention on your breathing and without doing anything to change it, you can move in the direction of relaxation.”

Dr. Weil's technique is a 5-step procedure that includes:

1."Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound.
2. Close your mouth and inhale quietly through your nose to a mental count of four.
3. Hold your breath for a count of seven.
4. Exhale completely through your mouth, making a whoosh sound to a count of eight.
5. This is one breath. Now inhale again and repeat the cycle three more times for a total of four breaths."- 4-7-8 Breathing exercise

This is a lot like meditation in which one becomes very aware of their breathing.

If the earplugs, the eye mask, and the babbling brook CD isn't working for, you might want to try this.
