I am Finally a Fantasy Football Champion
After years of hard work and dedication, I am finally a fantasy football champion.
I have a love/hate relationship with fantasy football. It is very frustrating. Dealing with the draft, injuries, trades, matchups, and the waiver wire can wear you down over 14 weeks. However, fantasy football makes a week 13 battle between Jacksonville and Cleveland a must watch game!
I play in a competitive league with 10 of my friends. Our league name is LETSGETREADYTOFRUMBLE. What’s ‘Frumbling’ you ask? It’s a drinking “game” but you don’t need to know for the purpose of this blog.
This league is filled with some of the greatest trash talkers in the history of fantasy football. The league has been in existence for 7 seasons. My team name is the NH Fishslayers. It pains me to say it, but the MVP of my team this year was Peyton Manning. That is another evil of fantasy football…rooting for players you normally root against. You can’t be a homer and you can’t let your personal feelings about a player get in the way. It’s a cold blooded fake sports management position that will make you want to throw your laptop into your flat screen, or high five the stranger sitting next to you at the bar wondering why you care about every single game. Like I said, it’s a love/hate relationship and right now I LOVE it because I am the CHAMPION!!!!
