(Bucksport, Maine) - Two Franciscan Friars are planning to open a brewery in Bucksport this month.

The Bangor Daily News reports that Franciscan Brothers Donald Paul and Kenneth Leo hope to open the Friar's Brewhouse Taproom, featuring the home brew they began selling in 2013.

The Brother have been operating the Friar's Bakehouse, a bakery in Bangor for more than 18 years. The bakery will close tomorrow.

The new venture will be closer to the Monastery in Bucksport.
