One of the many cool things about growing up in Durham is that it's a University town, and more often than not, that spells fun, especially during Homecoming weekend which is happening right now.

I lived in Durham for 6 years before spending another 4 there as a student at UNH, so I was well aware of Homecoming weekend early on, and I looked forward to it every year. As kids, my friends and I would walk around campus just people watching, and we had as much fun doing that as it seemed the college kids had while unknowingly entertaining us.

Homecoming weekend sold me on attending college, and few looked better to me that UNH, especially how awesome it looks at this time of the year. There's so much energy this weekend, lots of sporting events and of course the football game vs. William and Mary this year.

Oh sure, the memories of Homecoming are a little foggy during the years I was a student there, but between my friends and I, we each remember enough to fill in the blanks.

if you get the chance, swing by and spend some time in Durham (or any campus) during Homecoming weekend. You'll tap into your youth, which is never a bad thing.
