It’s National Peanut Butter Cookie Day!

While not as simple as the no-bake, the classic peanut butter cookie is still very easy to make. Try not to be hypnotized as Beth prepares them with incredibly precise fork prints.

After hours of exhausting research, I've discovered that the criss cross fork pattern became a signature look for this cookie due in part to the popularity of the Pillsbury recipe back in the 1930's.

I will not eat any peanut butter cookie unless it has this traditional forking pattern. To do so would be a forking calamity and a totally forking ingenuine act.
